Crooked I

Dominick Wickliffe A.K.A Crooked I one quarter of Slaughterhouse. Crooked is another West Coast rapper who reps Crips as his union. Crooked mentions in many of his interviews that knowledge is required in order for legit lyrics; in one his interviews he talks specifically about which books he has read, and they're countless. Crooked has great amount of knowledge about the world, politics and human body; the one thing that really surprises most people is how much detail he goes into with his lyrics when it comes to a body. He mentions certain nerves, veins and muscles which he'll attack and his flow proves legit. Some listeners don't understand his lyrics and because of this think they're lame when in reality they couldn't even understand half the shyt he was sayin' cuz they haven't even got outta school yet and cant even begin to comprehend his flow.

Everyone heard black and yellow that songs been bangin' for a while, check this track out by Crooked he goes over black and yellow and tears it apart, and the best part is that it's a freestyle!
Crooked's been bangin' since Pac's time, he's been a big fan of Pac he always takes shots at him, and takes few of his lines and then paraphrases it into his words, but the idea is still the same; real listeners will understand that he's reppin' Pac through those line. Check this track out under, it's one his old tracks but he's repping Tha Row.
His flow brings a unique blend of intelligence which wreaks lyrical havoc. Crooked spits fire whenever hes on the mic and killin' it. Most people will agree that he's bringin hip hop back, the way it should be.

With this post of Crooked, Slaughterhouse Week comes to an end, but keep checkin up daily and we'll hit you up with new blogs bringin' real rap and hip hop to you the way you've always wanted.

Joell Ortiz

Joell Ortiz is the third member of Slaughterhouse from Brooklyn that brings a blend of both humor and lyrics into his rappin. Ortiz isn't an ordinary rapper outta Brooklyn he owns his own flow just like Technique, he also brings many spanish words and rhymes into his lyrics just like Pun. He doesn't waste his time like most rappers who just spend time rappin' about fukin' bitches and doing drugs; he brings his unique flow of just rhymes of his lifestyle, crew, hood or habits.

His flow is completely different and he's even made his own trademark with "Yaowa". If you listen to any of his tracks you'll always hear Joell shout this out at least once. Yaowa has it's own little history nd it started when he used to get drunk wit his niggas and they used to be so drunk tha when they were sayin "Yo what up" it sounded like Yaowa ahah. Buh now tha hes made it a part of his flow he says it means 'you're actually one world away.' Joell says: "I be feeling like my flow is not of Earth. I zone out, become an alien with it." Its true, this nigga kills it every time he's on the mic and always has the a unique flow.

Royce Da 5'9

Ryan Montgomery A.K.A Royce Da 5'9 is a modern day rapper straight from the heart of Detroit. Royce always calls himself "one quarter of slaughterhouse," which he is, and has been tearin' shyt apart for a long time since he's from the same hood as Shady, both of em' get along pretty well. Shady just signed Slaughterhouse to his record label last year.

Royce's music hasn't been recognized by many but his lyrics are something which you must pay close attention too, since the metaphors he uses are off the hook. The way he spits his rhymes isn't something which every rapper has, his flow proves unexpected and you wont even see those dirty lyrics comin'.

Checkout both these tracks by Royce and listen to his lyrics, the track on the right shows how legit he can put words together and if you watch the music video completely you'll be sure to trip at the end.

Royce has had beef in his history like many other rappers, especially with D12. When he was first introduced to the rap industry he was in a collaboration with Eminem and also Dre later on. While workin wit Eminem and D12 he gave Eminem a freestyle for the Anger Management mixtape buh D12 took it as a diss when he never meant it like tha at all. Beef broke out between Royce and D12; he released three diss tracks throughout the beef and D12 gave a reply with three of their own diss tracks. The beef ended in 2008 when Royce was on D12's album "Return of the Dozen".

Joe Budden

Joe Budden A.K.A Joey was born in Harlem and has been present in the rap industry since this generation started. Joey brings a different sort of flow and type of lyrics into the game he's not afraid of talkin' shyt to others especially Soulja. Joe Buddens one of the four members of Slaughterhouse.

Most people started hearin about Joey when his song "Pump it Up" was played on 2 Fast 2 Furious and was made a big hit but this track doesnt represent the true Joe Budden at all. The lyrics were complete garbage cuz he was forced to make this song for his studio and had to do it the way they made him even tho he didnt wanna. The song itself is famous but cuz of the lyrics he wasn't known as a good rapper overall but if you checkout Slaughterhouse's VERY FIRST track together and jus take a look at Joey's lyrics you'll get a feel of his capabilities as a lyricist.

About.com has said things like this about this group: "After a thorough journey through the minds of these four MCs, you'll be left with the realization that Slaughterhouse embodies mind-bending refractions from an era when hip-hop's top MCs experimented with a whole arsenal of concepts."

Joey has a true understandin' of the rap industry and brings a unique flow to the table compared to the other rappers we see today.

Slaughterhouse Week

Slaughterhouse is a rap group that not too many people know about. They're currently signed to Shady Records and they've been killin the scene. The album on the right is their official first album which was released in the summer of  08.This is gunna be the official start to Slaughterhouse Week and we will take a look into all 4 members of Slaughterhouse (Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, Royce Da 5'9").   They started out small but individually they were known in the rap world. Together they're a lyrical storm and there's not many other groups that can get up to their level.
The video right here is from their album on the right, listen to the lyrics proper n' you'll understand true rap
Slaughterhouse - Microphone

Each one of these rappers have a different type of flow. Royce is a rapper who just brings pure metaphors into the form of rhymes and takes shots at the government and anyone corrupting shyt. He also always reps Detroit especially now since he's signed with Em' and there both from the same hood. Crooked is also another lyrical assassin, he's all about the West Coast shyt. He also always takes shots at shyt rappers (Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy) and talks about how they should rap.

Joe Budden and Joell are just the other half of Slaughterhouse and both of these niggaz have a flow which isn't recognized. Joe Budden is the world's most under rated rapper he kills it on the microphone and has been doing so for years. Joell is a type of rapper who brings most peoples relaity into his rhymes, it's all about the struggle and fist fights for him; but he also has a habit of talkin' about fast food places which just cracks you up while jammin' to it.

Don't forget to checkout there new album too.

Immortal Technique

Immortal Technique is one of those rappers nobody even heard about he was brought up in Harlem and raps mostly about things goin on in our world. He's straight underground rap and it has meaning too but his freestyles are deadly. His rhymes flow together so perfectly especially whenever he spits about politics since he exposes em'. One of his tracks, dance with the devil is probably his most well known track if talkin' about flow; he spits rhymes which flow together and can't be competed with. He been keepin' it real its just all about the 'topics' he spits about and it just shows the skill Immortal Tech brings to the world of rap. This track of Tech's was released in 2001 with his album "Revolutionary Vol. 1"

You really have to listen to Dance with the Devil to understand Immortal Techs music and what he's really about. This song has been one of his most hit, but he's got many other tracks that will just make you wanna listen to him even more.
These are some tracks that you should definently checkout:
- The 3rd World
- Obnoxious
- Death March
- Peruvian Cocaine

A new view on the world of rap and hip hop - THERAPCLOSET

The world of hip has changed throughout time went from the ol' school Big Daddy Kane to now where people like Wiz Khalifa are revolutionizing Hip Hop.

The industry changed from bein' about rhymin' to now when most rappers are talkin' about their bitches and bling. Raps startin to dissapear but theres styll some real niggas holdin' it down in the game. Wu-tangs a classic example, these guys been keepin' it real since time, there flows always been dirty and hasnt changed.

People only listen to mainstream music these days and theyve forgotten about what real hip hop is. Mainstreams killin the meaning of hip hop and people jus follow whatever the radios playin'. Black and Yellow came out a month before people were hollerin' black and yellow in the streets. Nobody has their own taste in music anymore, everyones jus followin what the crowds about.

What happened to real Hip Hop?
Rappers used to rap about their lives, and how the struggle is afffecting their overall hustle, but mainstream rappers are a disgrace to the entire industry since they just spit about how rich they are, and how many girls they been fuckin'.

Tupac and Biggie were from back in the day when they were about their flo and rhymes, and im nah gunna lie theres styll some niggas holdin it down. Shady, Warner bros, Diplomats and theres a buncha other people styll pullin' thru with legit tracks like dre, buh tha niggas been loaftin hard for a decade ahaha. The games styll keepin his hustle buh when people like Lil Wayne start comin up with shyt like prom queen, you know theres something wrong.

We jus wanna keep hip hop alive and if you wanna be a part of that subscribe and keep followin, nd we'll keep you posted.
