Phong Nguyen AKA Chuckie Akenz is one of the very few rappers who have been recognized around his hood of Jane and Finch. Akenz is a Vietnamese rapper who moved into Finch at a young age and basically grew up there, he has a few close hommies such as Burnz who he also brings into his tracks.

Akenz spits about what's real and true in his life; he doesn't talk about being rich or having cars and shyt he just spits about he is going to achieve his goals one day. Akenz has been through several robberies, fights, brawls, drug deals etc..... and therefore, has had so much experience and knows what he's talking about in his rhymes unlike most other rappers.

Is Drake the real Toronto rapper?

Most people, even people who live in Toronto  haven't heard of Gangis Khan AKA Camoflauge. This rapper is from Scarborough, he reps his town in most of his tracks, but his flow and lyrics are something which need to be paid close attention too. Camoflauge's way of words are amazing as he brings in different ways of killing people, but more importantly he talks about his life and Toronto and how it has impacted his life, how he goes through the stuggle. Camo reps Toronto much more than Drake, but isn't recognized by the majority.

Camo just like most rappers disses other rappers who aren't on his level but claim they are, he also talks shyt about rappers such as Wayne in few tracks. He may not be in the mainstream, but he is recognized by many true hip hop listeners, since he knows how to keep the game real.

Gotta admit that Drake's gone big and he had some hood respect as a rapper comin out of Toronto when he first started but he quickly mixed in with mainstream "hip hop" which shouldn't even be called hip hop. Now, he's barely even a rapper and you listen to true Hip Hop then you'll know what I'm talkin about. Camoflouge has been keepin Toronto bangin' in the speakers with legit hip hop beats.

In those 2 tracks he reps Toronto hard, if you want a deeper look into his lyrical capabilites then be prepared for some dirty lyrics.

X Gon' Give It To Ya

DMX also known as just the X is a rapper whose currently in Arizona jail, but will be released this November. He's been rappin' since the 1990's and was quite famous, just a few years ago he was sued by his ex-wife which affected his overall respect. He's been caught with several possessions of Marijuana, and illegal weapons.

X has many hit singles, the two most known ones are "Where the Hood At?" and "Lord Give Me A Sign," these songs have been released over the past decade, but play in many hoods until today. DMX bin bangin' for a while, his voice just pumps you up and gets you ready to scrap; DMX isn't just a rapper he also takes part in many films. DMX bin' in movies like Never Die Alone, and Last Hour. 

He's a real hood nigga and he's a veteran to the rap industry and people that know rap, know DMX.

DETOX?

Detox is going to be the third album by Dre. This album was supposed to be released in 2002, then 2003 but after that Dre has just been loafting in a way, and hasn't come out with a final product yet; however, few of his tracks have been leaked and released into the media. Some of the songs which have been leaked aren't comepletely officially going to be on Detox.

Aftermath is a huge record label which consists of very famous artists, Dre had initially planned to release the album in December of 2010, but had once again postphoned it due to his busy schedule with other projects such has Relapse. Dre's known for his work and art in beats, which is why most rappers try to work with him, and this just interfered with his overall Detox project causing it to be postphoned.

The part which makes many fans sad is that Detox is going to be Dre's last studio album, but he'll still be working on other artists work such as 50, Em, The Game and Slaughterhouse. Many rappers have been mentioning that Detox has been completed, and that it will be releasing soon while other say Dre is just waiting to select the tracks; Snoop also mentions that the wait on Detox is worth it, since it's something that has been worked on for many years. Rappers such as The Game have been talkin' about Detox since 2005, and have been promoting it for year, checkout his new album Purp & Patron you'll here him give a shout out to it atleast 5 times.

Nipisey Hussle

Nipsey Hussle is a rapper from the streets of Los Angeles. His lyrics are real and he stays away from the mainstream garbage that people are ashamed to even call hip hop. He gave up all his shyt and sold it for music and to go big. Now he's recognized and he spits about politics, reality and honesty. He reps the streets hard and always goes back. He talks about his struggles becomin an artist and what it takes. He keeps a balance between his old life nd the streets and his new life as a rap artist.

Wale

Wale is a rapper from Washington. Many people like us that are about keepin' real hip hop alive are aware of Wale but if your not, make sure you check him out. He's far above mainstream rap lyrically and one of the few who can actually be classified as intelligent rap. Hes seen ups and downs in his career but throughout it all he's been a lyrical poet cloaked as a rapper. He brings true with his lyrics and he comes hard. To say the truth, hes underrated as an artist but if you appreciate real rap, you'll appreciate his lyrics forreall.
Wale may not have been recognized by many, but with his new career signing with Interscope, his tracks be bangin' on everyones speakers. Wale spits aobut what most rappers do these days (money, hoes, rep) but the way he spits it is just off the hook, he shows his lyrics in a different way he mixes other shyt into his lyrics making it sound ill. 

Most of you may not know, but Wale states his lyrics has being in a different style, he brings in other elements like go-go in his music. Go-go is a mixture of hip hop with raw percussion which sometimes makes it look like we're back in the 90's
